We look back at another memorable show, stronger industry partnerships and a very special 21st birthday on Stand E40. Category: Company News Published: 08/08/2026 Author: Natalie Share When MPE first exhibited at the World Biogas Expo in 2025, it was an exciting new chapter for us. Our debut gave us the opportunity to introduce MPE to a wider audience, meet some fantastic people from across the industry and showcase the engineering expertise and support we provide to biogas operators throughout the UK.Following the success of that first show, there was really only one thing to do, come back and do it all again. In July, MPE returned to the NEC Birmingham for the World Biogas Expo 2026, and this year felt different. We weren't simply introducing ourselves anymore. We returned with new relationships, new customers, stronger partnerships and another year of experience supporting operators across the biogas and power generation sectors. Two busy days on Stand E40From the moment the doors opened, Stand E40 was busy.Across the two days, our team welcomed existing customers, suppliers, industry contacts and plenty of new faces. It gave us the opportunity to catch up with people we already work with, continue conversations started over the previous year and meet operators looking for a different approach to engine maintenance, technical support and parts supply. For us, that's one of the biggest benefits of the World Biogas Expo.So much of our industry is built on relationships and trust. Emails and telephone calls have their place, but nothing quite replaces sitting down face-to-face, talking about what's happening on site and discussing the challenges operators are experiencing with their engines. And there were certainly plenty of conversations!A milestone on the standThis year's Expo was also a particularly special one for the MPE team, as our Service Coordinator, Ben, celebrated his 21st birthday on day two of the show. It might not be how most people choose to spend their 21st birthday, but Ben was there on Stand E40, meeting visitors, talking to customers and representing MPE throughout another busy day at the NEC.We're incredibly proud of the professionalism and enthusiasm Ben brings to the team, and it was great to be able to mark such a big milestone together, even if we did make him work for his birthday celebrations! It certainly gave us another reason to remember the World Biogas Expo 2026.More than engine servicingOne of our aims for this year's show was to demonstrate the breadth of support available from MPE.While engine servicing and maintenance remain at the heart of what we do, our capabilities extend much further. From planned and reactive maintenance, diagnostics and major engine work through to controls, parts supply, installations and technical support, our team works with customers to help improve reliability and keep their assets operational. The Expo gave us the opportunity to talk about those capabilities in much more detail and, importantly, to listen. Understanding the problems operators are facing helps us continually develop the support we provide and ensure our services reflect the real challenges experienced on site.Stronger partnerships, stronger supportOur partnerships also played an important part in our presence at this year's show.Through our relationship with PowerUP, MPE continues to strengthen its parts offering for Jenbacher® and MWM® gas engines in the UK, complementing our engineering capabilities with access to an extensive range of engine components and technical expertise. We were also proud to showcase solutions from Teksan, further demonstrating MPE's ability to support customers beyond traditional engine servicing. These relationships allow us to bring together engineering experience, parts supply and power generation solutions under one roof, giving our customers access to a broader range of support through a single point of contactThe conversations didn't end when the doors closedA successful exhibition isn't measured purely by how busy the stand is. The real value comes afterwards.Since leaving the NEC, we've continued many of the conversations that started on Stand E40, from parts enquiries and maintenance discussions to conversations about longer-term engine reliability and support. For our team, that's perhaps the most rewarding part of exhibiting. The World Biogas Expo gives us two incredibly busy days to meet the industry, but the relationships created there can continue long after the exhibition stands have been packed away. From first time exhibitors to familiar facesLooking back at our first World Biogas Expo in 2025, it's fantastic to see how much has changed in just twelve months. Our first show was about introducing MPE and showing the industry what we could offer. This year was about building on that foundation. We're continuing to grow our presence within the biogas sector, strengthen our relationships with customers and partners, and demonstrate that operators have another choice when it comes to maintaining, repairing and supporting their gas engines.A huge thank you goes to everyone who visited Stand E40, spoke to the team, supported us during the event or has continued those conversations since. As for the World Biogas Expo 2027?Let's just say you may not have seen the last of MPE at the NEC…Subscribe to get access to the latest industry trends and news from the team at MPEJoin our mailing list and get MPE updates delivered directly to you.
